What We Do

Your Bathroom Renovation,
Tile and Stone Done Right.

Fitoria is the tile and stone trade on your bathroom renovation. We handle the surfaces you see and touch every day: shower walls and floors, bathroom floor tile, vanity surrounds, bathtub surrounds, accent walls, niche shelving, and heated floor prep under the tile.

We work on master baths and guest baths in single-family homes across Miami-Dade. We are not generalists. Every installer on our crew specializes in tile and natural stone, which is why the results look different from a general renovation contractor.

Shower Tile and Waterproofing

Full shower enclosure tile with Schluter-KERDI or Laticrete Hydro Ban membrane. Proper slope on shower floor, niche framing and tile, and continuous waterproofing at all transitions.

Bathroom Floor Tile

Floor tile with self-leveling prep when needed. Large format porcelain, marble, or rectified tile installed with minimal lippage. Heated floor mat prep coordinated before setting.

Marble Vanity Surrounds

Marble slab or large format porcelain behind vanities and around mirrors. Tight scribe cuts to cabinet edges, precise mitered corners, and color-matched grout or epoxy joints.

Bathtub Surrounds

Three-wall and alcove tub surrounds in full-slab porcelain or marble tile. Properly waterproofed at the tub ledge and floor transition.

Accent Walls and Niche Shelving

Feature walls in fluted tile, book-matched marble, or large format slab. Recessed niche shelves with waterproof backing, tile finish, and clean shelf edge profiles.

Project Types

Every Bathroom Scope
We Handle.

Master Bath Renovation

Full gut and retile of the master bathroom in your home. New shower enclosure with waterproof membrane, large format floor tile with leveling prep, marble vanity surround, and any heated floor prep you want under the tile. This is the most involved scope and typically runs 4 to 6 weeks.

Guest Bath Refresh

Retile the shower walls and floor, replace bathroom floor tile, and add a new vanity backsplash. Minimal demo, targeted upgrade. Most guest bath refreshes in standard Miami homes take 2 to 3 weeks depending on existing substrate condition.

Powder Room Upgrade

Statement tile on a powder room wall, new floor tile, and a marble or large format slab vanity surround. Because there is no shower, powder rooms can be completed in 4 to 6 days once materials are on site.

Shower-Only Remodel

Demo the existing shower and rebuild with proper waterproofing, new tile, a recessed niche, and updated fixtures. Common request in older Coral Gables and Pinecrest homes where the shower is failing but the rest of the bathroom is in good shape.

Tub-to-Shower Conversion

Remove the bathtub and alcove surround, frame a new shower floor curb or zero-entry threshold, waterproof the full enclosure, and set tile throughout. We handle the tile and waterproofing scope. Your plumber handles fixture rough-in and drain relocation.

Heated Floor Prep

We install electric radiant heat mats under the tile layer during a floor retile. The heat cable and thermostat are coordinated with your electrician. Common in master baths in Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay, and Doral where homeowners want the comfort without a full renovation.

Shower waterproofing Miami
Miami Climate

Why Waterproofing
Is Not Optional Here.

Miami-Dade sits above 75% average relative humidity for most of the year. A shower without a continuous waterproof membrane will fail within 12 to 24 months. Water works through grout joints and hairline cracks into the wood framing and concrete block behind the tile. By the time you see mold or cracking tile, the substrate damage is already significant.

We install Schluter-KERDI sheet membrane and Laticrete Hydro Ban systems on every shower we build. Both carry manufacturer warranties when installed to spec. Florida Building Code also requires waterproofing in wet areas, and Miami-Dade inspectors are increasingly verifying membrane coverage during bathroom renovation inspections.

What to Expect

Timeline and
How It Works.

Most bathroom tile and stone projects in Miami homes run 3 to 6 weeks from demo to complete. Powder rooms and single-scope jobs run shorter. Here is what the typical sequence looks like.

01

Estimate and Planning

We visit the home, take measurements, review existing substrate condition, and go over material options with you. We give you a written scope and price before anything starts.

02

Demo and Substrate Prep

Existing tile, backer, and any failed waterproofing is removed. Framing and substrate are inspected. Any wood rot or cracked concrete block is addressed before waterproofing begins.

03

Waterproofing

Schluter-KERDI or Laticrete Hydro Ban membrane is installed on all shower walls and floors. Fabric is folded into corners and seams are taped. A water test is run before any tile goes up.

04

Tile Installation

Floor leveling if needed, then tile layout is planned, dry-fit, and set. Large format tile, marble, or porcelain is installed per the agreed layout. Niches and benches are tiled at this stage.

05

Grouting and Finishing

Grout is applied, joints are sealed, and any edge trim or Schluter profiles are finished. Fixtures are coordinated with your plumber for final hookup.

Bathroom Remodeling FAQs

We handle everything you see and touch: shower wall tile, shower floor tile with proper slope, bathroom floor tile with self-leveling prep, marble vanity surrounds, bathtub surrounds, accent walls, niche shelving, and heated floor prep. We work as the dedicated tile and stone trade on your project, either directly with you or alongside your general contractor.

Most master bathroom renovations in Miami homes take 3 to 6 weeks from demo to punch list. A guest bath or powder room refresh typically runs 2 to 3 weeks. The timeline depends on tile layout complexity, whether you are doing a tub-to-shower conversion, and how quickly your materials are delivered. We give you a specific schedule during the estimate, not a vague range.

Miami's humidity is above 75% for most of the year. Without a continuous waterproof membrane behind shower tile, moisture works into the framing and substrate within 12 to 24 months. We install Schluter-KERDI and Laticrete Hydro Ban systems that carry manufacturer warranties. It is not optional, and inspectors in Miami-Dade increasingly check for it.

Yes. We handle the tile and waterproofing scope of tub-to-shower conversions. That means removing the tub surround, properly waterproofing the new shower floor and walls, setting a custom tile shower pan with the correct slope to drain, and installing wall tile, a niche, and a bench if needed. Plumbing changes are coordinated with your plumber.

Shower tile installation typically runs $2,500 to $6,500 depending on size, tile format, and layout complexity. Full bathroom floor retile with leveling prep runs $800 to $2,500. Marble vanity surrounds range from $400 to $1,500. See our full breakdown at /cost/bathroom-remodel for line-item pricing on each scope.

The tile and stone portion of a bathroom renovation in Miami typically runs $4,000 to $12,000 for a full master bath, depending on material selection and layout complexity. That covers shower tile with waterproofing, floor tile with leveling prep, and a vanity surround. Powder rooms and guest baths cost less because the scope is smaller. These numbers are for tile and stone labor and materials only. Plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, and fixtures are separate. We break down every line item during the estimate so you see exactly where the cost sits.

Both. Many homeowners in Coral Gables, Pinecrest, and Doral hire us directly when they want to manage their own bathroom renovation and bring in separate trades. We can coordinate our schedule around your plumber and vanity installer. If you have a GC managing the project, we work as a subcontractor under their direction.
